Windy!!! Solid 5.2 weather early doors, 4.5 by midday then bonkers mid-afternoon. The morning was all about...LOOPING. I was determined to go for it and with some "expert" tips from Steve go for it I did. 5 attempts, ultimately all crap, but BRILL fun. I was getting the pop and bear away sorted but the crouch throw and sheet-in wasn't happening and each one ended in a big bail. But I know what I need to do now and I'm very keen to go for more tomorrow.

Following a long lunch break during the silly windy period we hoped to score the late session in a more manageable and more offshore evening breeze. It was still maxed 4.5 weather initially and very busy so that finding an uncrowded wave was almost impossible in spite of the now decent swell. Very frustrating. But eventually the wind did veer cross-off and I scored two very nice rides - best of the day. The wind then died and I thought that was that for the day but predictably it picked up again whilst I was de-rigging, enough for Colin to score several really good looking waves. But I wasn't bovvered.

Forecast to be even windier tomorrow...
